Alderman Wants Osage Beach to Consider Texting Ban Similar to Sunrise Beach Ordinance

At least one member of the Osage Beach Board of Aldermen wants the city to explore a texting ban similar to the one in place in Sunrise Beach. Phyllis Marose asked the board to look into the possibility of enacting an ordinance.

The proposal drew a cold reaction from the rest of the board members. Marose says she’ll speak with the city attorney and state representatives to see what already exists and to examine the likelihood of a similar ban passing at the state level.
