Ameren Missouri is taking more steps to help those affected by the tornado in Eldon. On Monday, the company made a donation of 25 energy-efficient air conditioners to the Eldon Ministerial Alliance. It’s estimated that the energy-star certified units cost less than $1 per day to operate. The donation is an attempt to help people replace units that were damaged or destroyed in the storm. Ameren made a similar donation last month, when they gave 50 units to the Samaritan Center in Jefferson City for people who where hit by the tornado there.
