Thursday we told you about a request by Ameren to raise their fees associated with investments in efficient energy. Another filing by the company would help offset that cost slightly if approved by the Public Service Commission. Ameren has filed a routine request to adjust their fuel and purchased power charge, identified as the FAC charge on your bill, for the period covering October of 2018 through January of this year. They also filed their routine true-up filing for the period. The result will be an increase in a refund to customers. The current refund averages 19-cents a month. With the latest proposed adjustments, that would go up to about $1.79 a month for the average residential customer.
