During the recent rain, the Lake of the Ozarks and Truman Lake both arose way above flood level. Currently, the floodgates at both lakes are open, flowing at 50,000 cubic feet per second at Bagnell Dam. Jeff Green from Ameren says, with the forecasted rain this weekend, they don’t expect that to change any time soon.
During the rain, Ameren opened the flood gates at Bagnell Dam, however the flood gates at Truman Lake were kept closed to help maintain the level at the Lake of the Ozarks. At one point, Truman Lake was around 18 feet above flood level.
