Ameren Recommends Smart Thermostats To Reduce Electric Costs

Temperatures are now getting colder in the Lake Area, and there several ways you can lower your energy bill.

One option is a smart thermostat.

Shelly Harmon with Ameren Missouri tells KRMS News you can save about 3-percent for every degree you drop the temperature in your home during the winter months.

Harmon also says switching to LED Christmas lights will save money on electric during the holiday season.
