Utility Ameren reports income declined thirty percent in the first quarter. Electricity and natural gas sales were down, because of a milder winter, and expenses related to storms were higher than average. The company reported a net income of 71 million dollars, or 29 cents a share, compared with 102 million in the first quarter of last year. Revenues fell one point nine percent.
