Ameren Missouri is going to spend more on Smart Energy. The company has filed a revision to their five-year plan with the Public Service Commission. This comes on the heels of the company completing 900 related projects over the course of the last year. The revised plan calls for increasing their planned investment to $7.6 billion. Those funds will be used to further stabilize the grid, using new technology and equipment to reduce outages and restore power faster after an outage. The plan also includes additional investments in clean energy technology, upgraded substations, and new storm-resilient utility poles.
