Ameren Missouri is working towards a greener way of producing electricity.
The company is the process of purchasing a solar panel farm project underway just north of Mexico, MO.
When finished, the 250-megawatt facility known as the Huck-Finn solar project will be able to power around 40,000 homes in the Show Me State.
The project is also expected to create 250 construction jobs.
At this time, it’s unknown how much Ameren is forking out to purchase the facility.
