Annual Clean Up Efforts Planned Around the Lake and the State

A pair of annual efforts to clean up the lake area before the season hits full swing is coming up soon. It begins with the west side cleanup sponsored by the Lake West Chamber of Commerce.

Chamber Director Paul Hooper says you can pick up trash bags for the cleanup at their office. That will be followed by the No More Trash Bash put together by the Department of Conservation and MoDot. People are encouraged to pick up trash along the roadsides, in parks, around your neighborhoods, rivers, streams, and anywhere else you see it. That program lasts April 15th through May 15th.
