We’ll learn this coming week how well Missouri scores on a nationwide assessment for highway safety. The 2020 Roadmap of State Highway Safety Laws will rank all 50 states and Washington, D.C. on the passage of 16 traffic safety laws. States will be assigned a green, yellow, or red rating based on the number of those laws that have been enacted. Some of the items they’ll focus on this year include teen driving, drunk driving, seatbelts, child passenger safety, motorcycle helmets, and distracted driving. The roadmap is expected to be released Thursday, January 23rd.
