More injuries and another death are reported on the state’s waterways. The latest incident occurred on the Lake of the Ozarks just after 11:30 Wednesday night. A boat driven by 47-year old Chris Miller of Lake Ozark hit the shoreline, ejecting 34-year old Katherine Miller. Katherine was seriously injured and taken to University Hospital. Chris suffered minor injuries and was treated at Lake Regional. They were not wearing life vests at the time.
Meanwhile, another drowning death was reported Tuesday evening. A 23-year old man died after jumping from a bridge into the Big River in Jefferson County. The man floated downstream and tired before going under. His body was recovered by another swimmer.
