The water patrol division of the highway patrol is reporting a third boat explosion over the past month, alone, here at the Lake of the Ozarks.

This one, however, did not result in any injuries.

It happened Friday afternoon at the 60-mile mark of the Osage Arm and what caused it to happen is unknown according to the report. What is known is that the 60-year-old operator of the 1987 Celebrity, Ronald Pierce from Kansas City, Kansas, was able to jump overboard while wearing a life jacket. He was helped at the scene by a nearby conservation agent.

The boat was totaled and the incident happened on the eve of National Safe Boating Week.
