The answer is no from the Gravois Fire Protection District to a business that wanted to buy a section of property next to one of their fire stations. At their last meeting, the Board of Trustees made the decision on the request from the owner of the Bates Motel in Gravois Mills. They wanted to buy a 40 foot section of land which was next to the district’s G1 station on Highway 5. The land would have been used to expand their campground and also for recreational vehicles. The board said the fire district needed the land for an emergency helicopter landing pad.
