An area car dealer is facing the heat today after he was indicted by a Federal Grand Jury for a mail fraud scheme. According to U.S. Attorney Tammy Dickinson, Kenneth W Smith is being charged with seven counts of mail fraud after he sold dozens of vehicles with fraudulent titles which failed to report the actual miles on 54 vehicles. The cars were sold between 2010 and 2011 at auto auctions for a total of $346,450. Smith operated Cars Unlimited just outside of the Lake Area.
