Area Schools Debate Summer School Setting With COVID 19

With plenty of uncertainty still ahead because of the current COVID-19 situation, school districts around the lake area are looking forward to “what” can be offered to students over the “summer break.”

In the case of School of the Osage, Superintendent Doctor Laura Nelson says the district has been analyzing input from a parent survey recently sent to out. The survey, according to Doctor Nelson, shows about half of the participants wanting online summer school to be offered while there’s also interest in, both, seated and online summer school in July as well.

Currently, the district plans to send out registration links for both summer school options.
