National, state, and local health officials have declared an epidemic of vaping among youth, citing rising numbers of kids in both high school and middle school taking up the habit. Local schools are not immune from the problem. Camdenton Middle School Principal Matt Stacey says they’re looking at ways to spread information and try to slow it down.
Stacey says they need to educate kids and parents to potential dangers of vaping, including elevated risks of addiction.
The district says they’ll be rolling out educational programs as well trying to figure out the best disciplinary measures to affectively combat the problem.
