A 46-year-old Laurie man is free on bond and will be back in court later this month to be arraigned in connection with his wife’s stalking case in Camden County. Jason Rector appeared in court on Monday for a status hearing. He was ordered to return for arraignment on May 23rd. Rector is charged with tampering with physical evidence in a felony prosecution. His wife, 36-year-old Clara Rector of Laurie is charged with the aggravated stalking of her minister. While in custody, Clara Rector confessed to the murder in 2004 of Tommy Hope in Camdenton. She is also charged with first degree murder and armed criminal action. Clara Rector is due back in court for a case review on May 28th.
