An assault in Stover takes an unexpected twist which results in a husband and wife both being taken into custody. Courthouse records indicate that the incident happened on Friday when an unidentified subject showed up at the home of 43-year-old Thomas Remington trying to collect after, reportedly, giving Remington an item to sell. Instead, Remington allegedly pulled out a handgun and pistol-whipped the individual. Remington was taken into custody and is charged with third-degree assault and armed criminal action. Also arrested was Remington’s wife, 43-year-old Leana Hendricks, who was given a U-A and tested dirty for meth. The dirty U-A violates her current bond conditions on several original felony charges of possessing a controlled substance and unlawful use of a weapon along with two misdemeanor possession charges.
