The search is on for a suspect who fled from Pulaski County authorities and, later, abandoned the car he was driving which was confirmed as having been stolen out of Newton County. The sequence of events began when deputies investigated a suspicious vehicle in the 25-thousand block of Rio Road The passenger, identified as Rex Becker, exited the vehicle and was detained pending investigation after four syringes and a metal spoon with white residue were allegedly discovered on his person. The driver, believed to be 22-year-old Austin Tabor with addresses according to online court records in Richland and Iberia, ignored verbal commands and fled in the vehicle which was, later, found in an overgrown field. Further information revealed that Tabor is wanted on, at least, five felony warrants…one in Pulaski County for domestic assault and four others in Miller County…one on a charge of assault-special victim and three others for failing to appear on charges of tampering with a motor vehicle for incidents, allegedly, which happened all within a one-week time period. Tabor had recently been released from custody on O-R bonds on all four of the Miller County cases. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is encouraged to contact local law enforcement.
