A Camden County business is heavily damaged after a fire that began just before 7pm Tuesday. Mid-County Fire responded to Thomas A1 Automotive Repair on South Business 5 to discover two bays already fully involved. The fire was reportedly under control within half an hour, but not before several vehicles and the building itself suffered extensive damages. A neighboring building was damaged by the blaze as well. Chief Scott Frandsen says the fire began in one of the vehicles that was being worked on. An employee of the business was treated on the scene for minor injuries and several firefighters were treated for heat exhaustion.
