Autopsy Results Expected Soon After Body Found In Miller County Pond

We could find out soon the cause of death after a body was discovered late last week floating in a pond in Miller County.

The sheriff’s department responded to the scene, along Poplar Road near Highway-52, after receiving a report about the grisly discovery from the property owner. It was unknown the exact age or identification of the victim other than being described as a white male.

The body was taken to Boone County for an autopsy which was scheduled for Wednesday hoping to get an identification.

There was no indication from the sheriff’s department if foul play is suspected. Anyone with information or who may have observed suspicious activity in that area, is being encouraged to contact the Miller County Sheriff’s Department.
