Backwater Jacks Amphitheater Vote Tabled For September

Plans to build an amphitheater at Backwater Jacks are being tabled for now by the city of Osage Beach.

The board of aldermen voted to hold off the property rezoning plans until September 17.

The Osage Beach planning commission recently voted in favor of the project; however, the city still has to approve the rezoning.

A number of residents remain concerned about traffic and sound issues.

Officials with the project say they do not anticipate traffic issues and are planning to install barriers to protect from the sound.
