Barnett Man Expected to Enter Plea in Child Abuse Case

A Barnett man charged in two cases of alleged child abuse is set to be in court for hearings on both cases this week. Troy Wyche is expected to enter a negotiated plea in Morgan County Monday. There he’s charged with two counts of abuse or neglect of a child, with one count indicating serious emotional or physical injury. He was also scheduled to be in a Miller County courtroom Tuesday for a pre-trial conference on a charge of abuse or neglect causing serious physical injury. KRMS has learned that hearing will be held Monday in Morgan County as well. The Miller County case dates back to early 2018, while the Morgan County case occurred almost a year later and involved the same child victim.
