Barnett Man Sent to DOC After Entering Alford Pleas on Child Sex-Related Charges

A 39-year-old Barnett man will spend time in the Missouri Department of Corrections after entering Alford pleas to sex-related charges involving a child in Morgan County. Courthouse records indicate that Nicholas Dean Catron had been charged in January 2019 with enticement or attempted enticement of a child under the age of 15 and child molestation. Catron was sentenced to six years on the enticement charge and four years on the molestation charges with the two sentences to be served concurrently. With the Alford pleas, Catron does not admit guilt but does concede there was enough evidence to be convicted.
