A group looking to bring a soccer complex to Camden County contains some big names. XO Strategic is an organization that’s been working on a project analysis for the proposed complex. The leadership group includes former Sporting Kansas City CEO Greg Cotton and former Kansas City Chief Deron Cherry. The group also includes Shane Hackett, Executive Director of the Heartland Soccer Association – the largest host of soccer leagues and tournaments in America. They’ll all be present at a pair of public meetings next week to discuss the plans. The proposed complex is estimated to produce an economic impact on the region of $75 million per year.
