The community blood center of the Ozarks says it running dangerously low on blood, specifically “O” negative. A spokesman for the center says “O” negative is extremely important as only 6% of the population has that particular blood type. One of the reasons for the recent shortage has been the inclement weather across the Ozarks as blood drives at area schools have had to be canceled when they’ve canceled because of snow and ice. To find out when and where area blood drives are being held go to cbco.org.
