One of the first in a series of public hearings of a state blue ribbon committee’s work to find ways to retain and attract good teachers in Missouri is coming up in Jefferson City this (Tuesday) evening.

Committee spokeswoman Mallory McGowin says of the 8 sessions scheduled, tonight’s will be the closest to the Lake Area…“What will happen now…is at the December State Board of Education Meeting. There, State Board Members will finalize their legislative priorities for the upcoming 2023 legislative session. And really, they’ll put pen to paper on the things they think will move the needle in Missouri Education and they will share those legislative priorities with Lawmakers across the street from us here at that Capitol.”

That location will be the Jefferson City Schools at the Dix Road Education Center, located at 204 Dix Road in Jefferson City.
