Boat Collision, Boat Fire Reported in Separate Incidents at Public Beach-2

Decent weather over the weekend brought out a few more boats at the lake resulting in a couple incidents reported by the highway patrol Saturday afternoon.

The first happened around the three mile mark of the Glaize Arm when a 61-year-old man from Chesterfield struck another boat that was docked causing minor-to-moderate damage.

The second incident happened an hour and a half later at the same location, in the Public Beach-2 area, when a boat was destroyed after it caught fire due to a generator issue.

Fortunately, there were no injuries reported from either of the incidents.
