A number of incidents have been reported on the Lake of the Ozarks this weekend. A Colorado man lost his boat when it caught fire Saturday afternoon. A St. Louis man was injured when two pwc’s collided head-on. Two separate swamping incidents are reported involving pontoon boats. And a 25-year old woman was injured when she turned her pwc into the path of a boat and was hit at the 8.5 mile mark of the Big Niangua.
On the swamping incidents, one was apparently caused by wakes from larger vessels. The second occurred when a water patrol boat performed a stop and asked the operator to move into a cove due to rough water. As the driver moved the boat, it became swamped.
