A Michigan boater is facing BWI charges after his powerboat runs through a dock and into the shore.
According the Highway Patrol’s Water Division, 52-year-old Joseph Kenneth of Benton Harbor was traveling downstream on the Gravois Arm.
Officials say he struck a large wake, causing him to be thrown against the cockpit and pushing the 1994 Active Thunder boat towards the right.
The Patrol says that’s when it crashed through a dock and ended up landing on the shore in front of a home near the 2.3 mile marker.
Kenneth was taken to Lake Regional for treatment of moderate injuries.
#LakeOfTheOzarks Update: One person transported to hospital – is now conscious.
