A Rocky Mount man is injured in a two-boat collision near the four-mile mark of the Gravois Arm. The Highway Patrol report indicates that it happened around 8:30 Thursday night when 82-year-old Donald Schrimpf, of Rocky Mount, was westbound on a utility boat while 85-year-old David Dillon, of Overland Park Kansas, was eastbound on a pontoon boat. The two attempted evasive action but were unable to avoid a collision. Schrimpf suffered minor injuries but refused treatment at the scene. Neither of the men had been wearing a safety device at the time.
