Body Found in Miller County Pond, Sheriff’s Department Asking Public for Information

The Miller County Sheriff’s Department is turning to the public for information after a grisly find Friday afternoon. Sheriff Louie Gregoire says that deputies were called to a location along Poplar Road near Highway-52 and, upon arrival, discovered the body of a white male subject floating in a small pond on the property. The age and identification of the man, or how long he had been floating in the pond, is uncertain at this time. The body was taken to the Boone County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy expected to be conducted sometime this week. There is no indication, at this time, whether foul play is suspected. Anyone with information on the victim, or who may have observed suspicious activity in the area, should contact the Miller County Sheriff’s Office or local law enforcement.
