A 32-year-old Kaiser man charged with rape or attempted rape, second-degree kidnapping and second-degree assault is scheduled to be in a Miller County courtroom today for a bond hearing. Darryl Elmore was arrested one week ago when deputies responded during the early-morning hours to a residence on Mahogany Road and, reportedly, heard screams for help before making forced entry. The probable cause statement alleges that Elmore was in boxers and exposed while the victim was unclothed from the waist down. The probable cause also indicates, according to the victim, that she and Elmore had been involved in an earlier physical altercation and that, on previous occasions, she thought he would just leave her alone if she allowed him to have his way until this past Monday when he allegedly forced himself on her which he denies. Elmore was taken to the Miller County. His bond hearing is set for today.
