A Camdenton woman accused of slashing the throat of her 9-month old baby last year will undergo a mental evaluation to see if she is competent to stand trial. 41-year old Bradie Simpson is charged with assault and armed criminal action. In February of 2012, Camden County deputies found Simpson with her baby in the woods near her home on Dry Ridge Road. Deputies had been called after Simpson was reported missing. Prosecutors say Simpson allegedly cut the throat of the baby and also herself. Simpson’s trial in Morgan County was supposed to start this week but has been delayed last week. The case was moved there on a change of venue.
