A lawsuit filed by the Camden County Clerk against the County Commission is over, at least for now. In a ruling entered in District Court Wednesday, a federal judge has granted summary judgment in favor of Greg Hasty and the entire Camden County Commission. County Clerk Rowland Todd had filed the suit alleging that the commissioners had violated his first-amendment rights through various forms of retaliation, including a hostile work environment. The suit also alleged defamation on the part of Presiding Commissioner Greg Hasty. Summary judgment was granted on behalf of the defendants, which means, barring any appeals, the case is now considered over.
