The Lake Ozark Board of Aldermen is expected to vote on first and second reading to adopt the new budget for the fiscal year beginning January 1st. The board will also vote on purchasing in-car computer equipment for the police department. That purchase is part of a series of upgrades being funded by a grant from the Missouri Department of Transportation Highway Safety and Traffic Division. When completed, the upgrades will allow officers to issue tickets digitally and enter them into the system instantly rather having to write and track paper tickets. It’s similar to a system used by the Highway Patrol and other law enforcement agencies. That board meeting begins at 6pm this evening in Lake Ozark City Hall.
