Camden County responded to an attempted burglary Wednesday at a residence on Ruby Lane in Montreal. Lieutenant Arlyne Page says a woman called 911 reporting that a black male subject wearing a stocking cap was trying to break into her home. After failing, the suspect reportedly went to a neighbor’s house where he also failed to break in before returning to the first house trying to get into the caller’s car. Unable to do so, he then allegedly tried to break into the first house again where he was taken into custody by deputies arriving on the scene. No name is being released at this time. The suspect was taken to the Camden County Jail and is being held on a parole violation. Other charges connected to the burglary attempts are expected to be filed, including a possible automobile theft charge related to a BMW reported stolen from Springfield.
UPDATE— The suspect has been identified as Ronald Lamont Anderson.
