Rumors of a Camdenton School bus driver harassing students is being investigated. The Camdenton R-III School district responded to rumors that a bus driver verbally and physically harassed some students. Camdenton Police Chief Laura Wright said her department looked into the allegations of some in the community, saying multiple students left the bus in tears and one student said the bus driver bruised them after being grabbed by the arm. Camdenton Superintendent Tim Hadfield says the allegations are baseless and found no validity in the accusations. The investigation has been turned over to the Camden County Sheriff’s Department, due to the fact that the bus mainly runs outside of the city limits. As of Thursday the Sheriff’s department had not released an official statement about the investigation. KRMS news will follow this story and provide updates as they surface.
