A Lebanon R-3 bus driver and two monitors have been suspended after a pre-school student was left on a bus alone for nearly two hours. A pre-school student was suppose to be dropped off at Esther Elementary yesterday (Wednesday) for the afternoon pre-school session. However, the child fell asleep and remained on the bus after it had been parked at the transfer station. School superintendent Dr. Duane Widhalm says the district’s procedure was not followed in the way staff have been trained and there is no excuse for not following procedure. He adds this should have never happened.
