After some issues with open containers at the recent Bikefest, the Lake Ozark Police Chief is asking businesses to post warning signs on their exits. Chief Mark Maples says the signs are one option that will remind people that open alcoholic beverage containers are not allowed.
The chief said the weather at Bikefest also helped the department dodge a bullet of sorts. A business had planned on having topless bull riding and wet t-shirt contests. Chief Maples says if it had started the police would have intervened.
