The Miller County Commission will have a busy day just before the holiday. When they meet in regular session Wednesday, they’ll conduct some routine business including review of invoices. Presiding Commissioner Tom Wright says they’ll also be opening bids for supplies for 2020. The agenda also includes a discussion on employee benefits, a bid opening for a surplus fuel trailer, and a followup meeting with FEMA. They’ll be getting an update on the status of their disaster declaration process and the funding that comes with it following strong storms including the tornado that hit Eldon. The meeting begins at 8:30 Wednesday morning. The Miller County Courthouse will be closed Thursday and Friday for the holiday.
