2015 was a busy year for the Morgan County Prosecutor’s office. According Prosecutor Dustin Dunklee there were 256 felony filings and 824 misdemeanor cases filed. 102 defendants were sentenced to prison. Some of the noteworthy cases for 2015 include Thomas Presley who was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison with no possibility of parole for 1st degree murder and abuse of a child. Ronald Blowers received life in prison on 2 counts of murder, 50 years on 2 counts of armed criminal action and 15 years for burglary. Tommy Estes was sentenced to 15 years for child molestation, Robert Pope II received 18 years for 2 counts of statutory sodomy and Lyndon White was sentenced to 15 years for child molestation, 10 years for statutory sodomy and 2 years for incest.
