Concerns of Police Survivors or “C.O.P.S.” will have a new executive director beginning next month. Deputy Chief Dianne Bernhard of the Columbia Police Department will be the organization’s new executive director. She was offered the position following the national C.O.P.S. board meeting which was held in OsageBeach. The organization which has its headquarters in Camdenton, represents more than 32-thousand survivors of officers who have died in the line of duty. C.O.P.S. was founded in 1984. Bernhard will begin her new duties as executive director on March first.
