A nationwide foundation based in Camdenton is welcoming its new director. Dianne Bernhard recently assumed her new duties as executive director for “concerns of police survivors” or C.O.P.S. Bernhard, who was the deputy chief of the Columbia police department, says she retired after 21 years of service.
C.O.P.S. is a nationwide foundation that provides services to surviving family members of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty, and is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
