Missouri is seeking a second federal disaster declaration this year to help families and businesses hit hard by on-going flooding, tornadoes and severe storms that started back in late April. A total of 41 counties are included in the request for individual assistance including Miller County. If approved, those who are eligible could seek assistance with temporary housing, housing repairs, replacement of damaged belongings, vehicles and other qualifying expenses. Joint damage assessments are also underway across the state which, at the current time, include seeking public assistance for another 64 counties. Included on that list are Miller and Camden Counties. To help families impacted by severe weather, several Multi-Agency Resource Centers are available this week…today in Independence, tomorrow in Brunswick and on Friday in Boonville.
