After some controversy over proposed cuts, the Camden County Commission has passed their 2017 budget. According to the minutes, now former Second District Commissioner Cliff Luber was not in attendance. He had previously stated he did not agree with the budget and would not be involved in it. However, First District Commissioner Bev Thomas and Presiding Commissioner Greg Hasty were in attendance, as well as Deputy Auditor Kathy Fewell and County Assessor Kayla Henry. At this time, the details of the approved budget have not been released but Commissioner Hasty has said they stepped away from the proposed cuts.
