Just about everywhere you look in society today, illegal drug use continues to be a problem. Here in the Lake Area it’s no different. It’s also the driving force behind the Camden County Sheriff’s Department re-introducing DARE, or the Drug Abuse Resistance Education program, back into our local schools. Sergeant Scott Hines says the year-long effort was met with different challenges, first and foremost, starting with funding.
The program starts during the week of November 14th in the Climax Springs, Mack Creek and Stoutland school districts. The program could also be coming soon to the Camdenton R-3 District.
