Camden Co. Brings Back D.A.R.E

Just about everywhere you look in society today, illegal drug use continues to be a problem. Here in the Lake Area it’s no different. It’s also the driving force behind the Camden County Sheriff’s Department re-introducing DARE, or the Drug Abuse Resistance Education program, back into our local schools. Sergeant Scott Hines says the year-long effort was met with different challenges, first and foremost, starting with funding.

The program starts during the week of November 14^th in the Climax Springs, Mack Creek and Stoutland school districts. The program could also be coming soon to the Camdenton R-3 District.
