Another lake area county is considering a new method to preserve the life of gravel roads. The Miller County Commission recently heard a presentation on utilizing recycled ashphalt shingles in a mix with aggregate materials for road work. Camden County’s Highway Administrator Lee Schuman also attended the meeting and says he thinks it’s something they’ll pursue as well.
Schuman says they technique can save them money. He plans to take the idea to the commission and try it on a few test roads before implementing it full-scale.
