Those who rent their Lake home out for part of the year will save quite a bit of money on their taxes thanks to a recent ruling in Camden County. County Assessor Kayla Henry had was considering a home that was occasionally rented out as commercial property instead of residential, which effectively raised that homeowner’s property tax significantly. The Board of Equalization stepped in and claimed this ruling was unfair and considered the home residential property. Henry appealed the decision, but the ruling was denied.
