Since he was elected into office, Camden County Sheriff Tony Helms has said one of his goals was to reopen a couple cold cases and it seems as though he’s following through with that plan. The Sheriff’s Office is asking for information into a missing person report from December of 2013. According to the release, 59 year old Donald Erwin of Camdenton left his home around 6 o’clock on the morning of December 29th of 2013. His left leg is amputated above the knee and he was using crutches. He drove his 4-door 2002 Hyundai Elantra to the convenience store, less than five miles away. He never made it to the store and hasn’t been seen since. The vehicle is also missing. Erwin is described as a white male, 5’8, 190 pounds with brown and gray hair and brown eyes.
